For many years now (just how many Internet years fit into a human year anyway...?) I've seen web design companies come and go and web design trends come and go.

Some deserved to die a horrible death (only kidding John) and others seemed like a good idea at the time - it's just that time moved on.

For me one of the motivating things to put together this site was that quite a few of the new web design practitioners are making exactly the same mistakes that we did back in 1997 or even six months ago.

And companies are still paying these guys money to create them a web site - which in some cases just plain doesn't work.

In August 2004 I spoke to a group of Entrepreneurs in Wellington and found the following...

Out of 55 businesses represented in the room - they all had web sites - great...!

Only 3 of those (roughly 6%) were happy with the return on their investment

Of those 94% of others that were not happy here's a quick breakdown...

20% were unhappy with the feedback mechanisms of the web site
10% were unhappy because the web site didn't work how they wanted it too
10% considered their web site to be out of date
4% felt their web designer took too long to respond to requests
4% indicated their web site had the incorrect "branding" for their company on it

Web designers of the world - we have a huge problem here...!

So that's why this site exists - this is my company - maker of a great electronic clustering (e-c) toolset and my "old" Gisborne web design company still getting found in search engines and with a good Google ranking & getting visited often by the spiders - go the spiders,
