Web Browser Thoughts…

I'm writing this from a point of view of over 10 years using the web - and as from the 19th March 2006 - from running a web design company.

That's right - my first quotation to the Eastland Promotional Council (now Tourism Eastland) was created and presented 10 years ago this month.

It actually reads pretty well - but that's another story - this month also brings a new Editor for the e-c toolset - one that works with both PC and Mac version of Firefox.

Ah the old days - I started using Mosaic and then heard of a new browser created by a new company called "Netscape" - the rest (boom and bust) is much covered elsewhere but in more than about four years ago web designers needed to create several version of their pages to ensure that every visitor could view them.

When Microsoft entered and cornered the market for browsers a lot of us lost that "cross browser functionality" - but now it's back....

If you want to try Firefox - it doesn't take much to download and install - and does seem to work a little faster than MSIE - click the link below to download and try it....

Let me know what you think below...
